Harry Sawyer was a loving son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend.
He was born on what the family called the Miller Farm in April of 1954, the fifth child of Stillman and Freda Sawyer. He and his family moved to Humptulips after his father died and his mother married Bing Johnson.
Harry graduated from Quinault High School. Harry worked on farms and in mills in the Humptulips area.
Harry gave many years of care to his Aunt Edlah on her ranch in Humptulips. He as been in a rest home in the Seattle area for the last few years. His passing was a result of several health issues.
Harry will be missed by all who loved him.
Harry leaves behind nine siblings: Marilyn (Delmer) Colgrove of Quinault, George (Sandy) Johnson of Everson, Leslie Sawyer of Portland, Ben Sawyer of Virginia, Penny (Dave) Lutz of Quinault, Tom Sawyer of Arizona, Mark Sawyer (Jill) of Puyallup, Scott (Sheryl) Johnson of Edmonds, Mike (Tracy) Johnson of Humptulips as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family hopes to gather this summer to honor his memory.
