Ida Louise Bell, 74, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and sister, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma, Wash.
A lifelong resident of the Harbor, she was born to Harriet and Estel Gunter, and grew up in Wishkah Valley, the youngest of nine brothers and a sister. While siblings Ralph Gunter, Marvin Gunter (Norma), Floyd Gunter (Joyce), Eva Wakefield (Rueben), Vernon Gunter, Jerry Gunter (Dolly), and Norman Copeland preceded her in death, her brother Steven Gunter (Shirley) and sister-in-law Donna Gunter (Vernon) reside in Wishkah Valley; her children, Renae, Matthew and Brian; daughter-in-law Kristie (Brian), grandson Ryan Dahlstrom (Taylor), granddaughter Amanda Allery, and great-grandson Landon Dahlstrom all continue to reside in Elma. Also remaining are grandson Tyler Dahlstrom and great-granddaughters Dayra and Brooklyn.
A fiery woman with a big heart, her too numerous to mention nieces and nephews will miss her open door, fresh cooked food, open arms, listening ears and loving heart. She loved to spend time with her family and cook for them, garden and loved her pets. We can’t remember a time in her life when she didn’t have a cat.
At her adamant request, no services will be offered, and she will be cremated and buried with her husband, Wilson Bell, and cat Rusty in Fern Hill Cemetery.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Wash.
