Carlin Frederick Diehm Jr. was a lifelong Aberdeen resident. He worked in the logging industry his whole life.

He loved hunting and fishing and had a great artistic ability in carving wood and laser steel products.

His brother Robert McKinney died before him.

He is survived by daughter Breanne Renee Diehm and grandson Oliver of Camano Island, Washington; brother Kevin (Sherri) Diehm of Aberdeen; sisters Sharon Gerard of Bothell, Washington; Roselie (Kam) Mitchell of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Michelle (Jim) Adams of Florida; and longtime friend Beverly King.
