James Allen Caldwell of Aberdeen passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at UW Medical Center. He was 67. James was born on March 30, 1949, to Donald and Vera Caldwell in Aberdeen, Wash. where he graduated with the Weatherwax High School class of 1967. After high school he was employed with Northwest Bakeries for 30 years.
On Feb. 14, 1970, James married Ruth (Carman) Caldwell in Aberdeen, Wash. Together they celebrated 46 years of marriage and attended Trinity Lutheran Church.
James was an avid car enthusiast. He spent his time rebuilding motors and perfecting body work on his cars. Some he would keep, others he’d fix and sell.
James is survived by his wife Ruth Caldwell; son Brian (Angie) Caldwell; daughter Kristina (Aaron) Waltee; and four grandchildren MacKayla Waltee, Rylie Waltee, Cameron Caldwell, and Mason Caldwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Vera Caldwell; son Mark (Jennifer) Caldwell; sisters Elizabeth (Bette) Johnson and Katherine Gallagher; and grandson Cameron Waltee.
A celebration of his life and potluck will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, at the Cosmopolis Lions Club.
