James P. Kosoff

James Paul Kosoff, born Sept. 4, 1948, to Paul and Creta Kosoff passed away on Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Wash. after a long hard fought battle with cancer.

James Paul Kosoff, born Sept. 4, 1948, to Paul and Creta Kosoff passed away on Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Wash., after a long hard fought battle with cancer. Jim was born in Aberdeen and grew up on the East Hoquiam Road, where he attended Wishkah High School.

Jim worked on the Harbor for a number of years as a shop foreman, diesel mechanic, and welder.

In 1994, he moved to the Spokane area where he met and married Julie Cole Crites.

Jim loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed helping to raise his great-grandson AJ Crites and teaching him hunting and fishing skills.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Julie; his children, James (Leanne) Kosoff, Michael (Lori) Kosoff, Brandan (Christine) Kosoff, Kurtis Kosoff, Dan (Angie) Crites, Andy Crites; sister Dottie Wakefield; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many dear family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father Paul Kosoff, mother Creta Kosoff, and siblings Richard Goheen, Helen Goheen and Dorothy LaVassar.

A memorial service will be held on Dec. 8, at 3:30 p.m. and the Happy Home Church, 5039 Hattery Rd., Deer Park, WA. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the service.
