Janice Miller of Westport passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. She was born Nov. 15, 1937, in Hoquiam, Wash. to Earl and Jessie (Jordan) Bridges.
Janice was born and raised in Hoquiam and graduated in Hoquiam High School class of 1956.
On Oct. 30, 1965, Janice married David B. Miller; he passed away Oct. 21, 2011.
Janice had worked for Grays Harbor Paper and had cook in a number of different restaurants with the last one being The Dunes Restaurant in Grayland.
Janice was a member of the South Beach Art Club and a member of the LDS Church.
Her favorite pastime was spoiling her grandsons. She was an avid reader, oil and watercolor artist, enjoyed painting china and weaving rugs and mats.
Janice is survived by her sons Derek (Tamara) Miller of Crosby, Texas and Greg (Sonya) Miller of Westport; brothers Leslie “Bud” (Donna) Bridges and Eldon (Sandy) Bridges both of Aberdeen; sister Genevieve Bridges Halvarson of Wishkah Valley; and three grandsons Ryan Miller of Crosby, Texas; Steven and Taylor both of Westport.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Catherine Fitterer, Helene Conway and Dorothy Morgan.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 22, at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen.
