Jeff Blanton, son of Raymond and Rosalie Blanton left his earthy body for Heaven on Feb. 24, 2017, at the age of 54.
Jeff was an avid bird watcher, often seen with a set of binoculars. He was well read in Ornithology, always researching and sharing his knowledge of birds. Jeff loved flying, whether it was a helicopter, hot air balloon or a soaring bird or his sister and brother in-law, handing over the controls of their plane.
Jeff had a big, big heart and unconditional love for all he knew. It’s a good bet that God may have another angel, and Jeff will get his own wings. Jeff loved God and church and attended wherever he lived; the last being Hidden Creek Community Church.
Jeff enjoyed everything life had to offer – from fishing, boats, camping, travel, zoos, fairs, Parks and Rec., animal reserves, and bird sanctuaries to name a few. But potlucks with family and friends was in the top ten. The more people to visit, the happier he was. He had a listening ear, a gentleness and was present when someone needed a friend with a hug (We love you back, Jeff).
Jeff will be missed very much by his brothers and sisters and their families, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. He was very proud of his Uncle Jeff Status.
We will be having a memorial May 20, at 1 p.m. at the Marina, 2719 Island Dr. NW, Steamboat Island, Olympia.
His soul is safe. Come and celebrate Jeff’s bright spirit, he loved you all.
