Jeffrey Scott Tangen, known by many as Ole, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 21, 2016. Ole was born July 14, 1967, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Roy and Phyllis. He, along with his two sisters, lived in many states before eventually settling in the Grays Harbor County area.
It was here that Ole met Shirly, the love of his life. He pursued her for a couple of years before marrying her Aug. 3, 1991, in Reno. Ole embraced raising their kids, Jeremy, Kendra and Clifton, as his own. They were vacationing in the Redwoods, a place he had always wanted to visit, to celebrate their upcoming 25th wedding anniversary.
Ole was a hard worker, working many jobs at the Manke Lumber Company Pellet Mill over the last 25 plus years, and most recently was the night shift dryer operator and boss. Ole loved motocross, the Seahawks and Mariners, and playing a good prank. But it was spending time with his family that mattered the most.
He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his wife Shirly, his children Jeremy, Kendra, and Clifton, two sisters Jeanette Ritter and Karen Williams, his numerous nieces, nephews and his 13 grandchildren. He was also a caring son and loved his father-in-law, Duane, as his own. A service will be held at Aggressive Ministries, 206 Frontage Rd. N, Suite A1, Pacific, WA on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 2 p.m. A reception will immediately follow at City of Pacific Community Center.
