Jennifer Denise Cobain passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, with her husband Don and her three children at her side. Born in Aberdeen in 1947, Jenny has called Bellingham home for the past 37 years, where she probably sold you your engagement and wedding rings. She put the rest of her time and energy into the unconditional love of her kids, her kids’ kids, her husband, and her dear friends.

A jeweler by trade, Jenny was a happiness-maker by heart, which made for a perfect combination. Always obliged to bring joy to everyone she met, her graciousness was shared with the life-long customers and friends she made at Ben Bridge, G.B. Heron, and MJB Jewelers.

Jenny found pleasure in the simplicity of movies and TV shows, potato chips, People magazine, baths, her dog Quincy, and paperbacks (particularly true crime and mysteries). She loved warm places and traveling with her friends and family to Arizona, Las Vegas, Mexico, and Hawaii were some of her fondest memories.

Jenny’s devotion and love she held to her family was her true life’s work. She was a matriarch, in a sense, but used affection, understanding, and gentleness to make sure her family knew, always, that they were loved.

She’s remembered by her husband, three kids, nine grandkids, and every single person that was ever graced with her kindness.
