Jennifer Lee Hugo, age 63, a resident of Copalis Beach, died on April 27, 2022.

Jennifer Lee Hugo, age 63, a resident of Copalis Beach, died on April 27, 2022, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. Mrs. Hugo was born on Sept. 18,1958, in Seattle, Washington to Giles Luther and Carole (Reidach) Paine. She was raised in Kent and graduated from Kent-Meridian High School in 1976. She later graduated from Highline Community College.

On Dec. 22, 1979, she and Bob Hugo were married in Des Moines, Washington. She had worked for the Boeing Company for six years, then for King County Police Dispatch for an additional six years. She and Bob relocated to Fairbanks, Alaska where she had worked for the Alaska State Troopers Fish and Wildlife.

In 1999, the couple came to Ocean Shores where she had worked as the Police Administrative Clerk, then as the Court Administrator for the city of Ocean Shores.

Jennifer was an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners. Her office looked like a Mariner Team Store. She had been honored at a game for being a #1 fan. She also loved Geocaching, collecting Russian Santas and her cat Seamus.

Surviving relatives include her husband Bob of the family home; a brother, Scott (Nancy) Paine of Kent; two sisters, Jill (Steve) Lawson of Maple Valley and Kerri Paine of Kent; an uncle and aunt, Chuck and Linda Cretin of Sequim, and longtime friend and work associate, David McManus.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ocean Shores Police Association, 577 Pt. Brown Avenue, Ocean Shores, WA 98569.

At her request, there will be no service.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
