Jerry Garity, 79, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at his home in Aberdeen in the company of his family. He was born in Ocean City on Sept. 29, 1937, to Edward and Enid Garity. He graduated from Moclips High School in 1955.

Jerry worked at Aloha Lumber until he joined the U.S. Postal Service where he was a letter carrier formore than 30 years.

On July 11, 1959, he married his childhood sweetheart, Donna Lee Whitehouse, who resides at the family home. He loved trips to Reno and he loved digging clams in Ocean City. He loved listening to Jef and Lisa’s music and he loved sports, especially the Seattle Mariners. Jerry was a loving and supportive father and grandfather to his family and he was always present at their events.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Lisa; son, Jef; two grandsons, Dugan Garity and Jerry Rajcich; a brother, Ed Garity and sisters, Pat Harvey, and Joann Lengyel. He is preceded in death by his brother, Tom Garity.

There will be a celebration of Jerry’s life on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at the Cosmopolis Lions Club.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam, Wash.
