Jim Kite, 78, passed away on Oct. 22nd, 2021, in Elma, Washington, with his daughters by his side. A Dad, Grandpa, and friend to many, he will be missed by all.
Jim grew up in Westport, Washington, enlisting in the Navy and later returning to raise his family in Cosmopolis. During his time in the Harbor, he worked at the paper mill, cable company and as a real estate agent. Jim always made sure to attend his grandkids’ sporting events and let the dogs out for lunch. You could always find him on the beach, the Clearwater, or the Queets, living life at his own pace. This year he celebrated the expansion of his family with three marriages of his grandchildren, and he was especially looking forward to the birth of his first great-grandson in March of 2022.
Jim is survived by his daughters Kerri (Bruce Pocklington) and Kim (Brad Gherna), grandchildren: Bailee (Cory Perrault), Zack (Alex Bridgman), Parker (Rylleigh Zbarsachuck), Payton, and Glory, and great-grandson the ‘Player to be Named Later.” He was greeted in the light by his grandson, CJ, mother Kiki, father Floyd, brother Dick, and many four-legged pups waiting for a treat.
An open service honoring his life will be held Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Coleman Mortuary. His family would like to extend an invitation to anyone who would enjoy celebrating him.
