Joseph Eric Walczak passed away at his home in Aberdeen on July 11, 2024.

Joe was born Aug. 4, 1961, to John Kenneth and Joy Ann (Bickar) Walczak.

Joe was a 1980 graduate of Aberdeen’s Weatherwax High School.

On April 23, 1988 Joe married Peggy Sue McGiveron. Together they had two sons, Andrew and Bryson.

Joe was talented and skilled in anything he chose to do. He worked in the electrical and sheetmetal fields, but his true passion was working in the timber industry.

Joe was an avid outdoorsman. He loved cutting wood, clam digging, fishing, trapping and especially hunting with his good friend and hunting partner Bob Mitchell.

Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Phyllis Walczak and granddaughter Avery Shay Walczak.

Joe is survived by his sons Andrew Walczak (Britney) and Bryson (Bailey) Walczak, grandsons Grady and Lawson Walczak, all of Cosmopolis, father John Kenneth Walczak of Cosmopolis, mother Joy Ann Dignam of Lacey, brother Robert (Sheri) Walczak of Lynden and sister Shelly Walczak of Cosmopolis.

Joe was a kind and thoughtful soul, who cared deeply for his friends and family. He will be forever missed.

A private family graveside service was held July 19, 2024 at Fern Hill Cemetery, where Joe was laid to rest.
