Judith Elaine ‘Judy’ Mudgett, 62, an Aberdeen resident, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022, at Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma, Washington.

Judy was born on Sept. 6, 1959, in Aberdeen to Charles and Betty (Miller) Potter. She lived in Hoquiam and attended Hoquiam High School.

She married Roy B. Rohr on April 28, 1977, in Pacific, Washington. They later divorced.

Judy went to work as a waitress at the Nordic Inn Restaurant and that’s where she met Frank Mudgett. They were married on October 31, 1982, in Hoquiam, Washington. They later divorced in 2014, but remained good friends.

Judy also worked for a couple of years for 7-Eleven on B Street and on Boone Street. She enjoyed crafting, decorating, reading, refinishing furniture and working on electronics. Most of all, she enjoyed her grandkids.

Judy is survived by three sons: Matthew Rohr, Scott Rohr of Kaysville, Utah and Phillip Mudgett of Hoquiam; a daughter, Jessica Mudgett of Hoquiam; a stepson, Frankie Mudgett of Shelton, Washington; two sisters, Gail and Debbie; and a brother Michael Shell and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded by a brother Gary Shell.

Per her request, there will be no services.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
