Hoquiam resident Julie C. Beavers, 70, passed away on Nov. 13, 2024, at Tacoma General Hospital.

She was born on March 15, 1954, to James and Bernice Gaddis in Aberdeen, Washington. Julie grew up in Hoquiam, attending school there. She married Dale Beavers on Sept. 17, 1971, and accompanied him to Texas and Germany during his military service. Following Dale’s discharge in 1980, they returned to Grays Harbor with their daughters Cindy, Kristy, and Suzy.

Julie was a lifetime member of the Hoquiam VFW and a member of the Eagles.

She enjoyed trips to the beach and the lake with her family, watching NHRA and football. When the kids and grandkids were little, she enjoyed volunteering at school and being involved in all their activities. She was an amazing cook and loved preparing meals for everyone. More than anything, she loved her family and was the rock that held everyone together.

Julie is survived by her three children; Cindy Beavers of Hoquiam, Washington; Kristy Florek of Aberdeen, Washington and Suzy (John) Hyde of Ariel, Washington; and a granddaughter they raised, Crystal Beavers (Anthony) of Aberdeen. She is also survived by her sister Sandy Miller, and brothers James Gaddis Jr. and Rick Gaddis; granddaughters Rachel, Elisabeth, and Arielle; grandsons John and Howie; 11 great-grandchildren; and various nieces and nephews that she loved like her own.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dale Beavers; her parents James and Bernice Gaddis; her sisters Terri, Ginny, Becky, Wendy, and Connie; her daughter Brandy Beavers; and her dog Pepper.

Her relatives would like to thank the nurses and fellow patients at Fresenius Kidney Care in Aberdeen, who not only took care of her but also treated her like family.

A service is pending and will be announced later.
