Juneamae Lindberg, 91 years of age and a lifetime Harborite, died on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam, Wash. She was born on June 7, 1925, in Aberdeen, Wash. to Robert and Jacqie (Walzack) Edwards.
She was raised in the Grass Creek area and attended the Newton School, Hoquiam Junior High School and when she was attending the Hoquiam High School the family moved into Hoquiam. Following her graduation she worked at Acme Door where she helped make doors.
Juneamae Edwards was married to Carl Victor Lindberg on Jan. 3, 1947, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Aberdeen. He died on May 26, 2004.
They made their home in Hoquiam, where she had since resided. She had been a stay at home mother for many years. She then worked in the office at Evans Products in Aberdeen. She next worked as a payroll assistant at the ITT Rayonier Pulp and Paper Mill in Hoquiam until she retired in 1987.
She volunteered at the Hoquiam Senior Center and the Hoquiam Food Bank for numerous years. She attended the Saron Lutheran Church, taught Sunday school and the rhythm band for their youth.
The travels for June and Carl was to the warmer weather at Palm Springs and Reno. She enjoyed knitting caps for kids in the hospital and knit balls for preschool kids. June enjoyed reading novels, and was an excellent baker and cook.
Juneamae Lindberg is survived by her son, James C. Lindberg of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and other relatives.

A remembrance service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, at the Polish Club, 823 West First Street in Aberdeen.
Private inurnment will be held at the Sunset Memorial Park in Hoquiam.
