Katherine Anne Bigsbee, 70, lifetime Aberdeen resident and former maid at the Aberdeen Red Lion Motel, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Grays Harbor Health & Rehab Center in Aberdeen.
Katherine was born on Oct. 18, 1946, in Aberdeen to Albert and Margaret S. (Fields) Chicano.
She attended Hopkins Jr. High and Weatherwax High School.
Katherine married Wayne Ramsdell on Nov. 14, 1964. They later divorced in 1986.
She was a member of the Aberdeen Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing pinochle, watching wrestling with her grandson and going to dance recitals for her granddaughter.
Katherine is survived by her three daughters: Margaret Ramsdell, Linda (Robert Olson) Ramsdell and Laurie (Scott) Pierce all of Aberdeen; a half-brother, Joseph Albert Chicano of Central Park and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a half-sister, Jenny Kilgore.
There will be a celebration of life on Jan. 7, 2017, at noon in the Cosmopolis Lions Club.
She was inurned with her mother at Fern Hill Mausoleum in Aberdeen, Wash.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Wash.
