Kelly Martin Stryken, 70, Ocean Shores resident and former carpenter, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022 at his home in Ocean Shores, Washington.
Kelly was born on Sept. 10, 1951, in Fairbanks, Alaska to Doug and Jeanne (Busk) Maddux. He lived in Anchorage for 25 years. He then moved to Washington before relocating to Arizona in 1999. He moved to Ocean Shores in 2009.
On Oct. 9, 1994, Kelly married Della Lucille McClellan in Reno, Nevada. She passed away on April 23, 2021.
Kelly was a self-employed carpenter building homes and remodeling. He was a member of the Ocean Shores Community Club. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, family and working on his home.
Kelly is survived by two daughters: Sunshine (Ken) Haupt of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Erica (Mathew) Thuirer of Hoquiam; brothers: Edward “Ted” (Cheryl) Maddux of Santa Barbara, California; Richard (Colleen) Stryken of Palmer, Alaska and Paul (Elizabeth) Stryken of Arizona City, Arizona; three grandchildren: Alexander Haupt, Kensley Thuirer and Luke Thuirer. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maureen Stryken and a brother Patrick Stryken.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
