Larry Corvari Sr. passed away peacefully in his sleep July 13, 2020, four months shy of 100 years old.
Larry lived a long full life! He was born in Tacoma, Washington to Giacomo and Clara Corvari.
He attended and graduated from Bellarmine High School and went on to complete one year at The College of Puget Sound before going into the U.S. Army Air Corp. After his military time, he continued his career with the government at the United Postal Service where he became a postmaster at Copalis Beach, Washington.
Larry was also a member of the BPOE 174 Elks.
He was lucky enough to have a permanent home on the beach.
Larry was very active in the North Beach community. He was instrumental in starting up The North Beach Medical Clinic.
Larry and his wife loved the long holiday weekends and every year started the summer off with a Memorial Day potluck and always ended the summer Labor Day weekend with the annual Kepler’s parade and golf tournament. I think some would say he was The Grand Marshal for many years. We had a lot of fun on the beach.
The family would also like to thank Shannon Buleson, his beloved caretaker for the past four years.
Larry is survived by his wife, three children, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews and his beloved Suki..
