Lenore Francine Lundquist, 92, of Aberdeen, Washington, passed away in her home on November 27, 2024.

Lenore was born in the Aberdeen home of Mr. and Mrs. Normile on November 17, 1932, to Frances “Sandy” and Hjalmar “Kewpie” Lundgren. She attended Cosmopolis School until the third grade then moved to Aberdeen and attended both A.J. West and McDermoth grade schools. She graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1950. While in high school, Lenore worked at Warner Bros. Theater and S.H. Kress.

She married Eugene “Gene” Lundquist at the First Christian Church in Aberdeen on June 30, 1951.

Lenore leaves three daughters to cherish her memory, Leslie (Steve) Bebich, Melanie (Bob) Raby, and Tara (Rick) McDougall; four grandchildren, Stephen Bebich Jr., Courtney Bebich, Tirzah Taylor, and Kyla Raby; and six great-grandchildren, Stephen Bebich III, Saydie Bebich, Lucas Bebich, Shea Taylor, Kalayah Taylor, and Claude “Austin” Taylor Jr. She was cared for by Shea and her girlfriend Taylor Hutt.

Lenore was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, and granddaughter Erika Raelynn Dorn.

Lenore worked for Anderson Middleton Lumber Co. until she started a family. She also worked at the Aberdeen Post Office, J.C. Penney (at Christmas), Spargo Printing, Swanson’s, and retired from The Daily World.

Lenore loved her family, her animals (especially cats) and her faith. She enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, quilting, and knitting. Lenore would do anything she could to help others.

She was a charter member of Bench Drive Homemakers, Aberdeen Eagles Auxiliary, Aberdeen Pioneer Association, Grays Harbor Home & Community Educators, and Sons of Norway. She was an active member of the United Christian Church, Bethany Circle, Quilters, and Tuesday Bible Study Group. Lenore was the Chairman of many Class of 1950 reunions, served on the board of the Aberdeen Food Bank, and volunteered at Peninsula Community Health and for many fundraisers.

Memorials may be made to the United Christian Church of Aberdeen or PAWS of Grays Harbor. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
