Leslie Earl “Bud” Bridges passed away on May 4, 2022. He was born to Earl Bridges and Jessie Jordan on March 26, 1930 in Eureka, Utah. His family moved to this area in 1933, and he was raised in Copalis Crossing, Washington. He attended Hoquiam High School and joined the U.S. Navy in 1946. He was discharged in 1948. For 27 years, Bud worked for the Hoquiam Fire Department.
Most of all he treasured his days of logging with his father.
Bud married Donna Budd on Sept. 29, 2007. They were married for 14 years before he passed.
Bud was a member and former president of the Aberdeen Fraternal Order of Eagles, as well as State president of Washington State Eagles. Bud rode in the Sheriff’s Posse.
He is survived by his wife Donna; sons Dave (Eva) Bridges of Clatskanie, Oregon and Don (Treva) Bridges of Westport; daughter Linda (Doug) Miller of Ryderwood, Washington; brother Eldon (Sandy) Bridges of Aberdeen; sister Genevive (Bob) Halverson; and Justin and Phillip (Becca) Sanchez of Aberdeen; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Edna (Pat) Bridges, and both his parents; daughters Kathy and Cheryl Bridges; sisters Helene Conway, Cathryn Fitterer, Janice Miller and Dorothy Morgan.
A service will be held on May 26, 2022, at 11 o’clock, at Harrison Family Mortuary, 311 W Market St, Aberdeen, Washington followed by a reception at the American Legion Hall.
