Linda Susan Smith (Peterson), 67, of Lacey, Wash., died peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 13, 2016. Linda was born July 16, 1949, in Aberdeen, Wash. to Henry and Lois Peterson. She graduated from Aberdeen High School and worked hard to raise her two children, teaching them to love the natural beauty of Grays Harbor.

In 1996, she met and married her caring husband William Smith and moved to Lacey, Wash. Linda became a Betty “Boop-a-holic” and loved to work in her garden and walk in nature, especially at the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge where she volunteered.

She is survived by her husband William, son Ulrich Brasche, daughter Lindella Brasche, mother Lois Peterson, and sister Joan Sommerville.
