Lloyd H. Smith was born Aug. 3, 1941, in Portland Oregon to Raymond (Smitty) and Oma Smith. He was raised with five siblings in Westport, Washington. He went to heaven on Aug. 16, 2020. He had seven children.

Lloyd worked on fishing boats in his youth and at Katana Fish Cannery in Westport and New England Fish Cannery in Seattle. He then was drafted and served in the military. He was self-employed in the shake and shingle mill industry for many years.

He was a Hoquiam city councilman. He enjoyed running Republican party campaigns and was an alternate delegate to the Reagan convention. He was an ambassador to South Korea, while with The Friendship Force and visited the demilitarized zone. President Park of South Korea was assassinated during that visit. All Americans were abruptly put on planes and sent home.

Lloyd had an inquisitive mind and always had a new invention around the corner. He patented the Bicycle Hotseat and a motorcycle tow bar. He rebuilt numerous hotrods and classic cars from the ground up. He could build and fix just about anything. He was self taught and had a thirst for knowledge. His true passion was our freedoms. His life’s work was studying and applying the law, righting wrongs for many people.

He established the church, Jesus the Christ, and did all things with the Lord as his guide and Savior. He had a great love of animals. Every nap included at least one dog or cat on his lap or head.

His family and friends will forever remember and miss him. Heaven awaits you my love.
