Lucette Marcelle Brennan, 86 and a resident of Ocean Shores, Wash. for the last 13 years died on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at her home.

Lucette Marcelle Brennan, 86 and a resident of Ocean Shores, Wash., for the last 13 years, died on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at her home. Lucette was born on Dec. 11, 1930, in St. Mihiel, France, to Eugene Charles and Marcelle Louise (Chapusot) Tabourin.

She graduated from school in St. Mihiel and worked as a seamstress. She had lived through five years of German Occupation. In 1954 she met Marshall F. Brennan who was serving in the U.S. Air Force and they were married on July 6, 1955.

In 1956 she came to the United States and couldn’t speak English. She became a U.S. Citizen in 1969. After moving to the United States she learned to speak English and how to drive a car. She had lived in Los Angeles and Oroville, Calif. and worked as a seamstress at two different jobs. Lucette and Marshall moved to Ocean Shores in 2004.

Besides her husband, Marshall; she is survived by three sons, Jon of Oroville, Calif.; Glenn and Mick both of Los Angeles; two brothers and two sisters living in France; five grandchildren, Amanda Brennan and Jaime Stroh both of Oroville, Josh Stroh of Port Orford, Ore., Nicholas Brennan and Beau Brennan both of Los Angeles and four great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Memorial services will be at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam, Wash.
