Lynn Biery unexpectedly passed away on Dec. 1, 2017. She was a very special woman! Lynn had a profound impact on all of the people in her life. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. One of the primary things that stands out about Lynn is she cared so much about other people, especially children. She had a big heart and loved to be hospitable, serving others wherever she could. She was very generous and loved to give. Lynn was passionately sensitive to the feelings of others. She always showed compassion and empathy whenever someone was hurting.
Lynn loved her Lord Jesus Christ very much! She was born again in High School and felt the call of God in her life. This led her to enroll in Eugene Bible College. She graduated with a minister’s degree in 1980. Shortly after, she became a youth pastor in Seattle, Wash. She had an adventurous spirit and a strong desire to spread God’s love to the world. She went on many missions to do this. She risked being arrested to do this for peoples that were hard to reach and desperately needed it. Her trips included Ukraine when it was part of the USSR, and even went to China twice to deliver Bibles.
Lynn came from a large family. She had six siblings, along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family. She really enjoyed family reunions, especially in Montana. The family benefited greatly from the heart Lynn had to offer. It was her pleasure to be involved with the children in her family. She had many nieces and nephews that she meant a great deal to. She spent countless time and held a big hand in raising them. She was a woman of virtue, character and strong faith. She was blessed to be able to adopt her daughter and loved her with an infinite love!
Lynn valued family very much. Especially her mother! After a decade of living in Seattle she moved down to Grays Harbor to be closer. She still continued to serve in the church. In particular, she loved being involved with drama and singing. She was intuitive, creative and had a great eye for interior design. She had a heart to host and a great talent for decorating. Lynn had many hobbies. She really enjoyed making crafts, cooking, Pinterest, along with organizing things, holidays and events. When she came to Grays Harbor she wanted to continue to help people. She combined her love for homes and people to become a realtor. She was able to provide a good service for others and a good life for her daughter. She was the President of the Grays Harbor Realtor Association and was even once voted Realtor of the Year for Grays Harbor County.
Lynn will be greatly missed! She was a rock and an integral piece of the Biery family. Lynn is survived by her daughter Mya Carolyn Biery, four brothers: Forrest Michael Biery, Charles Ward Biery, Edward Dwayne Biery, Steven Ray Biery, two sisters: Terri Diane Miller, Geneva Kay Peterson and her mother Sylvia Carol Arnold.
A service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at Harbor City Church in Aberdeen. Arrangements are entrusted to Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
