Marcella May Stillwell died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, in Shelton.
She was born on March 13, 1921, in Lebanon, Linn County, Oregon to Chester Arthur Childers and Edna Etta (Bar) Childers. As an infant she lived in Oregon.
On April 19, 1937, she was married to Emil Arthur Stillwell, in Linn County, Oregon. The couple resided in Sweet Home, Oregon and later moved to the Grays Harbor, Washington area.
She graduated from Grays Harbor College on June 6, 1971, with a degree in nursing. She had worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Aberdeen.
She was a member Our Lady of Good Help Catholic Church in Hoquiam.
Her most memorable times were spending time with her family at family get togethers. She will be remembered for the good life she had and the memories that she gave to everyone. She was a special person and will be missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Selma Marie Anderson (Peter) of Hoquiam, Washington and Ellen Irene Buckner (David) of Olympia, Washington; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, lots of great-great-grandkids; three daughters-in-law, Bev Stillwell, Cyndy Stillwell and Kay Stillwell and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Arthur Stillwell, three sons: Arthur Lee Stillwell, Roy Emil Stilwell and Marvin Lester Stillwell; two brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, at the Coleman Mortuary Chapel. An urn committal service will follow at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam.
