Margaret F. Lundgren, longtime Aberdeen resident, died of natural causes on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam, Washington.
Margaret was born on July 13, 1924 in Harrow, Middlesex, England to John and Maude Ball. Margaret graduated from Chiswick Polytechnic in England. During WWII, she met American G.I. Earl Lundgren. They later married. She came to America as a war bride and traveled with her daughter across the USA to Aberdeen, Washington. Margaret and Earl had 7 children: Jacqueline, Judith, John, Janice, Jeanette, James, and Joanne. Joanne passed away in 1974. Margaret belonged to the VFW Auxiliary, Rebekah lodge, English War Brides, and United Christian Church. She loved to play bingo, knitting, swimming, and dancing.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lundgren, and daughter, Joanne Lundgren.
Margaret is survived by her children: Jacqueline Black, of Montesano, Washington; Judith Lundgren, of Aberdeen, Washington; John Lundgren, of Aberdeen, Washington; Janice Lundgren, of Longview, Washington; Jeanette Darrin, of Wishkah Valley, Washington; and James Lundgren, of Central Park, Washington; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial celebration will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM located at United Christian Church on 300 W. 1st Street in Aberdeen, Washington, with a reception to follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
