Two former Montesano residents recently passed away: Faye (Whitney) Phillips on Sept. 21, 2024 and Mark Phillips on Oct. 5, 2024. They were married in 1956 and divorced in 1991.

Mark had served in the U.S. Army, volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and been a woodshop teacher at Montesano High School and a contractor. He retired to Arizona with his second wife, Jeannie.

Faye was a devoted mother and homemaker. She migrated to Arizona and became an awesome Gramma.

Mark and Faye are survived by their children, Craig (Rita), Mona, Todd, Kyle (Jennifer), Garth (Carol), and Joel (Calli); and 3 grandchildren.
