Lifelong Grays Harbor resident Mary Evelyn (Brownie) Clark passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital. She was 78. Mary was born July 4, 1938, in Hoquiam, Wash., to Joseph and Bonita Pauline (Palmer) Kyker.
Mary was raised in Hoquiam and graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1956. She married Cecil Roberts and together they had three girls. They later divorced.
Mary had owned Roberts Long Haul Trucking and then went to work as a receptionist at the Morck Hotel in 1974. She also worked at Skipper’s Inn as a waitress. She was later diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and belonged to the Grays Harbor M.S. Society.
Mary enjoyed sewing and loved talking on the phone to her best friend Donna Tuffree in Texas.
She is survived by her three daughters Bonni Warnken (Doug), Betty Roberts and Bobbi Fowler Roberts (Clint Conway) all of Hoquiam; four grandchildren Jennifer Baker Daniels (Wil), Daniel Baker, Nicole Hoover (Jeremy), Nathan Hoover (Jessica); three great-grandchildren Devan Jimenez, Hudson and Henry Hoover and two step-great-grandchildren Tiffany Jensen and Natasha Jensen Long. Along with extended family and her caregiver Aleasha Tillman.
There will be no formal services. Memorials in memory of Mary are suggested to M.S. Society and Paws of Grays Harbor.
