Rev. Mel Walker went home on May 7, 2018, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife Cris Walker; six children, Mark Walker of Spokane, Joy Slater of Maryland, Becky Sivonen of Tri Cities, and Alaina Delanoy, Tom Matthews and Tai Rayment, all of Hoquiam.

A memorial service will be held on June 2, at 1 p.m. at the Alive Nazarene Church, 101 S. H St, Aberdeen. Please bring your favorite dish to share at the potluck following the service.
