Michael Joseph Corrigan, 77, a 16-year resident of Shelton, passed away at home on Jan. 30, 2017. He was born Oct. 12, 1939, in Aberdeen, Wash., to Thomas and Hazel (Kinnaman) Corrigan. He graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1957.
He married Sharon Henderson Corrigan on Aug. 23, 1963, in Hoquiam. He worked for 34 years as a high school teacher and football coach. He loved golf, clam digging, hunting, crossword puzzles, football (especially Husky and college football), and most of all he loved being with his family and grandkids; and two “grand-dogs,” Lucy and Abby, and “grand-cat” Ringo.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Corrigan of Shelton; daughter, Lisa Brandli of Bellevue, Wash.; son, Brad Corrigan of Bow, Wash.; daughter-in-law, Toni Corrigan of Bow, Wash.; granddaughter Katie Corrigan; grandsons Josh Linvog and Cooper Brandli, and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 3 p.m., at Lake Limerick Country Club, 790 E St. Andrews Dr., Shelton. Please wear your favorite high school or college sports attire.
