Michelle Ann Sorensen, 38, Cosmopolis resident and former social worker for Catholic Community Services, died Sunday morning, March 4, 2018, in an automobile accident on State Route 12, west of Montesano, Wash.
Michelle was born on April 21, 1979, in Aberdeen, Wash., to Mack and Donda Kay (Davis) Sorensen. She graduated, with Honors, from Grays Harbor College and then attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Evergreen State College in Olympia.
She worked for a number of years with Catholic Community Services. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa at Grays Harbor College. She loved the outdoors, camping and hiking and the river bar. Michelle always lived life on the edge and was always looking for the next thrill. She loved to cook and try new recipes. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children. Michelle had a passion for helping others and touched the lives of many people.
Michelle is survived by her daughter, Jaidyn Riley Sorensen, 18, of Cosmopolis; two sons: Jacovey Carl Sorensen, 12, and Chance Michael Crow, 4, both of Cosmopolis; Parents: Mackie and Donda Sorensen of Cosmopolis; a sister, Tricia Kay Sorensen of Aberdeen; a nephew, Mason Donavon Sorensen of Aberdeen, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will take place on Sunday, March 25, at 1 p.m. in the Cosmopolis Lion’s Hall, Cosmopolis, Wash.
