Michelle Lynn Comer, age 53, a resident of Lacey, Washington, died on May 8, 2023, at Providence Hospital in Olympia, Washington.
Michelle was born on April 20, 1970, in Aberdeen to Clifford D. and Cherrie J. (Besonson) Minks. In 1978, the family moved to South Bend where she attended school.
On May 31, 1985 she married Britt S. Comer and In 1986 they moved to Ocean Shores to raise their family. After 27 years of marriage they divorced but remained best of friends.
While raising her family, Michelle worked various jobs including the Galilean Church Daycare, the Homeport Restaurant, and Foss Construction.
In 2013, she moved to Lacey, Washington and began working at the Franz Retail Store. During her time in Lacey she met John Streeter where they shared six beautiful years of their life together, spending time with friends, family and traveling.
Michelle loved to vacation, chasing the warm weather and sunshine. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching them participate in their sports and extracurricular events. Her grandchildren had a special name for her which was “Shell.”
Michelle always lit up a room and anyone who knew her, knew her as a bubbly, kind and genuine person. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
Surviving relatives include her parents, Cliff and Cherrie Minks of Ocean Shore, her daughter Danielle (Andrew) Wallin, and granddaughter Presley Wallin of Hoquiam, Washington; daughter Whitney Comer (Charlie Capoeman), granddaughter Austyn Capoeman, and grandson Brixton Capoeman of Ocean Shores; brother Jeff Minks and nephew Patrick Minks of Copalis Beach.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
