Nancy Ann Dietrich, 77, a longtime Westport resident and housewife, died Sunday morning, April 23, 2017, at Montesano Health & Rehab Center in Montesano.
Nancy was born on Sept. 13, 1939, in Tyler, Texas, to Eugene Raymond and Annie Lee (Shinn) Alford. She graduated from Tyler High school and then attended the University of Texas for a year.
She married William Carl Dietrich in 1965 in Galveston, Texas, and then moved to Westport, Wash., in 1972. William died March 3, 2010.
Nancy was a homemaker and she was an avid genealogist, a member of the Westport VFW Ladies Auxiliary and several quilting clubs. She loved shopping QVC, reading, sewing, quilting and toll painting. She so loved her beloved toy poodle Gigi.
Nancy is survived by her son Charles R. ‘CR’ (Trisha) Dietrich of Central Park and two grandchildren: Charlie and Courtney. She was preceded in death by a son Howard B. ‘HB’ Dietrich in 2000.
There will be a time of visitation and viewing on Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Fern Hill Funeral Home. A funeral will take place at 11 a.m. in Fern Hill Funeral Home’s Chapel. Graveside will follow in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen. Please join the family for a reception at the Grays Harbor Country Club in Central Park following the services.
