Nancy Lou McDougall, former bookkeeper for Wasson Buick, died Dec. 7, 2022, in Aberdeen.

Nancy Lou McDougall, 87, Montesano resident and former bookkeeper for Wasson Buick in Aberdeen, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at Harbor Regional Health in Aberdeen, Washington.

Nancy was born on May 10, 1935, in Aberdeen to John Robert and Mazie Louellen (Edwards) Richardson. She lived in Wishkah Valley until the age of 8 when the family moved to Aberdeen. She later graduated from Aberdeen’s Weatherwax High School in 1953.

Nancy married Duane Lee McDougall on Aug. 6, 1955, in Aberdeen. He passed away on Jan. 25, 2021.

Nancy worked for Wasson Buick for over 38 years in the bookkeeping department and following that she worked for the Aberdeen Historical Seaport. She retired in 2007.

She enjoyed spending time with family and watching the Mariners. She was involved with Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball when her kids were young.

Nancy is survived by her four sons: Randy (Ardell) McDougall of Hoquiam, Robert McDougall of Montesano, James McDougall of Montesano and Kevin (Lisa) McDougall of Montesano; a daughter, Cynthia (Gary) Newell of Elma; eight grandchildren: Cole, Camron, Connor Newell; Julie McDougall, Derek, Dylan, Kyle and Courtney McDougall and eight great-grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Duane L. McDougall; two brothers: Howard and William Richardson and two sisters: Margaret Butler and Ruth Anderson.

She will be inurned in a private family service with her husband Duane at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen, Washington. There will be a gathering of friends and family at the Country Estate Club House, 57 Clemons Road, Montesano about 2 p.m. p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
