Pamela Ann Rowland, age 67, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 10, 2025.
She was born in Albany, Oregon on March 5, 1957. She moved to Cottage Grove, Oregon where she went to school into her high school years. She then moved to Kelso, Washington where she attended high school for a short period of time prior to moving to Randle, Washington where years later she met her husband Scott.
Pamela and Scott were married on June 28, 1980 in Packwood, Washington. They moved to Elma, Washington where they raised their three sons: Tracy, Travis and Tyson. Pam decided to further her education attending Grays Harbor College to pursue her licensed practical nurse degree. She then attended Olympic College in Bremerton to achieve her registered nurse degree. She was the Director of Nursing for Montesano Health and Rehab, Beechwood (Elma), Alpine Way (Shelton), and Shelton Health and Rehab. She then decided to leave the administrative paperwork behind and return to actual patient care and spent the last twenty plus years of her career as an ICU nurse at Capital Medical Center.
Pamela is survived by her husband Scott Rowland, her sons: Tracy Rowland of Roy, Travis Rowland of Shelton, Tyson Rowland of Aberdeen, and four beautiful granddaughters: Riley, Lexi, Kamryn, and Kaycee as well as Pam’s parents Sonny Montgomery and Shirley Varley, her sister Kathy Danforth, and her brother Tom Varley.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
