Pamela Faye Fulbright, age 58, a longtime Hoquiam, Wash., area resident, died on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at her Hoquiam home after a short illness. She was born on Feb. 4, 1959, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Aberdeen, Wash., to Wilbur and Bonnie Gene (Mahoney) Cahill.
Through her younger years she moved around with her parents. Her dad was a leverman for Manson Osberg Dredging Company. She spent time in Poulsbo, Wash. and Cordova, Alaska. Then later with her grandparents, Mack and Esther Cahill, at their country estate along the Humptulips River, a place she loved and later purchased.
Pam attended the North Beach schools and worked at beach establishments such as Galway Bay, Mirah’s, Homeport and Ocean Crest.
Barely five feet tall and petite, Pam’s Irish heritage always pushed her to prove no job was too big. She drove an 18 wheeler truck and trailer, delivering grain and lumber between South Dakota and California. She dug clams commercially in Alaska and accomplished her dream to get her custom farrier horseshoe license and well as learned large animal massaging. She always had a tremendous love for horses. With back country horsemen she was involved in the saving of the chalet at Enchanted Valley.
