Patricia (Sissy) Diane Meiers of Snohomish, Wash., daughter of Peter and Mary Rudis of Cosmopolis, Wash., left us on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Clayton Meiers and brothers Paul and Bernie Rudis. She leaves behind a sister Katherine Wagner; brothers Andrew and Larry Rudis; along with her son Ernest Meiers and wife Kari Meiers, and daughter Mary Meiers Nelson and husband Corey Nelson. Also her two grandsons, Cooper Nelson and Turner Meiers.

Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all of us. She was a devoted school teacher who always had time for her students and enjoyed many years at Riverview Elementary School. From Cub Scouts to Bluebirds, Pat lead groups of children with fun educational activities. She continued volunteering at schools — reading to young students, and baking birthday cakes for the Senior Center. She was involved in ADK, awarding scholarships to students interested in becoming teachers.

The family will be hosting an open house/reception at the residence in Snohomish on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 1 – 4 p.m. Please drop by and join in the celebration! In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the local area Alzheimer’s Association or the Heart Association.
