Patrick Albert Simmons Sr., 72, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017, in his Aberdeen home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ruth Simmons.

He is survived by his wife of the better part of 50 years, Vicky J. Simmons; his six children, John Wiseman of Aberdeen, Wash., Larry Wiseman of Ketchikan, Alaska, Darrin Simmons of California, Tammy Groshong of Wrangell, Alaska, Patrick Simmons Jr. of Ketchikan, Alaska, Meridith Howell of Rochester, Wash., 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three siblings, Meridith Williamson, Nancy Friend and Dick Simmons, and other relatives.

Pat truly had four loves of his life: his family (including his three fur babies: Artie, Benji and Isabella), woodworking, hunting and fishing. Pat has created many pieces of beautiful furniture that he has gifted to many family members and friends. He spent many years in Alaska logging by profession and fishing and hunting for pleasure.

There will be a celebration of Pat’s life on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 1 p.m. for family and close friends at the family home.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary of Hoquiam.
