Pearl M. Crass of Montesano passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital. Pearl was born on Sept. 28, 1930, to Harold and Ethel (Sackett) Wikstrom in Montesano, Wash.
On July 1, 1949, Pearl married the love of her life, Ross Crass. They celebrated 67 years of marriage in 2016. Pearl is survived by her husband at the family home; her daughter, Arlene (Mike) Hume of Montesano; her son, Arthur Crass of Montesano; her brothers, John (Elaine) Wikstrom of Ridgefield, and Eugene (Ana) Wikstrom of Seattle; and her sister Donna (Durwood) Smith of Burien. She had 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews all of whom she adored.
She was preceded in death by her sons Daniel and Kenneth.
Pearl loved the Lord, her family, her church and playing Shanghai Rummy. She brought her sense of humor to every occasion. She was known for her pies, fried clams, quilting and crafts. Pearl’s handiwork on the Montesano Church of God’s centennial quilt still hangs in the church fellowship hall.
Pearl retired from Telephone Utilities in 1985 where she worked for twelve years.
A celebration of Pearl’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at the Montesano Church of God. A reception will follow.
