Phillip Charles Haider, 79, a resident of Elma, passed away at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020.

Phillip was born on Aug. 26, 1941, in Watertown, South Dakota to Charles and Blanche (Lambert) Haider. He graduated from high school and served honorably in the Army, after which he worked as a butcher.

He loved racing and was often at the sprint car track in Elma.

He is survived by his two daughters: Heleen Kelly and Rachel Jones; son Matthew Haider; and seven grandchildren: Liam, Kamaria, Alyra, Chloe, Bailey, Andy and Ben.

Due to current restrictions there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, as yet to be determined.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral home in Aberdeen, Washington.
