Ray Willis Moore Jr., 81, of Westport, died at Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, Wash., on Sunday, July 23, 2017. He was born April 6, 1936, in Miami, Fla.,to Ray Willis Moore Sr. and Neysa Willette (Tuttle) Moore, and was raised in Florida, Texas and Frankfurt, Germany. He was in U.S. Air Force from July 1, 1955, to Aug. 7, 1963. He was an aviation mechanic on Douglas C-124 Globmaster – (Old Shaky). Ray was the owner and operator of “Stuff it Taxidermist” in Westport, Wash. His wife also worked alongside him. Ray married Rosemary Koziol on Aug. 13, 1957, in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. They were married for 51 years. She preceded him in death on May 3, 2008. They had four children, three sons and one daughter. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Westport, Wash. He loved sailing, fishing and beachcombing and his SEAHAWKS, and old movies. Ray loved growing roses with his wife Rosemary. Both Ray and Rosemary raised many Dobermans’ as they were their favorite breed of dogs. He is survived by his son Steve Moore and his wife Laurie of Montesano, Wash., his daughter Elizabeth (Moore) Gentile and her husband David of Aberdeen, Wash., his son Brian Moore and his wife Darleen of Nehalem, Ore., his son Miles Moore and his wife Corine of Hayden, Idaho, grandchildren Nicholas, Kimberly, Wayne, Ray, Alisha, Mindy, Devry, Dauson and Levi and great-grandchildren Sebastien, Jasminn, and Chase. The family like to give special thanks to American Lake Community Living Center too all personnel that took care of Ray for pass five years. It was a wonderful place for him. A ceremony for Ray will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98052.
