Rhonda Lee Moe, a loved mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, died on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, in Rancho Mirage, California.
Rhonda was born Aug. 8, 1964 in McCleary, Washington to Helen and Eric Moe. Rhonda grew up in many places in Washington, but she graduated from Oakville High school in 1982. She later studied forestry and graduated from Centralia College. Rhonda lived and worked in Westport, Washington for many years enjoying sunsets and walks on the beach searching for treasures.
She met and married Carl Nish, and for the last 10 years they made a home in Southern California as snowbirds where she loved to cook and craft art out of seashells. Rhonda was also active within the community by volunteering to make meals for the senior center and attending community events.
Rhonda and Carl made yearly returns to Westport to work with the American Albacore Fishing Association, attend family and friend gatherings and to resupply of beach treasurers. Those who know Rhonda will remember her strength, compassion and kindness. She would often put needs of others before her own with unwavering love. Rhonda’s presence will be greatly missed, but for all the happy memories and love she leaves behind, we are grateful.
Rhonda is proceeded in death by her parents Eric S. Moe, Helen Osbekoff-Gates(Donald), brother-in-law Jackson C Cron II and nephew Carter Sharp-Cole.
