Dick loved being with family and friends, playing games, hunting and fishing, and Casino hopping with his wife Judy. They spent much of their time traveling back and forth along I-5 to be with their family, supporting their kids and grandkids in all their life and sporting activities. As an avid fisherman and hunter, he filled his walk-in cooler with all his critters. He enjoyed cleaning the deer and elk on his own, allowing a little help from the kids.
Additional local interests included rolling dice with his friends at 7 a.m. coffee and going to garage sales followed by hiding his finds in his own garage. He would also have to make room for the casino treasures acquired with Judy. He coached boys’ baseball; Pee Wee, Little League, and Babe Ruth and enjoyed 27 years as a Mariners season ticket holder.
His smile was contagious. He would do anything for anyone. You could always count on Dick Veloni. He is loved and will be missed by many.
Celebration of Life will be held on Jan. 25, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Aberdeen Elks.
