Robert “Bob” Dale Smith, a lifelong resident of Aberdeen, Washington, passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024, at the age of 92.

He was born in Mt Vernon, Washington on Feb. 13, 1932, to Ralph and Letha Smith, moving to Aberdeen when he was two years old. Upon graduation from Aberdeen High School, he served three years in the U.S. Navy. Bob started working as a timber faller in 1954 and continued until retirement. Bob married Ruth Budrus on September 25, 1954. They raised their two sons, Robert and Donald in Central Park and also their nephew Bruce Hunt and niece Deb Hunt Gray.

Bob was proceeded in death by both parents and older sister, Norma. He is survived by his wife, sons Robert (Linda) and Donald (Patty), younger sister Betty Hadlock and brother Ed Smith. He also has four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

At Bob’s request there will be no memorial service. The family will carry out his last wishes privately.
