Robert “Bob” Frank Larson

Robert Frank Larson, 78, was born in Aberdeen, Washington on Aug. 10, 1943.

Robert Frank Larson, 78, was born in Aberdeen, Washington on Aug. 10, 1943. He was the middle child born to Robert and Florence Larson. Bob attended St. Mary’s Catholic School. In 1961, he graduated from Weatherwax High School, where he played football for the Bobcats. He later graduated from Grays Harbor Community College, where he also played football.

In 1963, Bob married Lois Betterley. They were married for 11 years before ultimately divorcing. Bob and Lois had three daughters together: Christine (Mike) Lewin, Patricia (Kent) Jones and Shelly Ridgway.

He became a Longshoreman for ILWU24 in January 1966. He left his duties to serve in the Navy on the USS Chicago until 1971. Once Bob returned, he continued working as a Longshoreman until he retirement in 2003.

Robert passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2021. He is survived by his three daughters, his brother Ralph (Sue) Larson, his sister Janet Sullivan, five grandchildren: Amanda Lewin, Carter and Rylee Jones, Trevor and Trace Ridgway, as well as three nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law David Sullivan, niece Megan Sullivan, and his parents Robert and Florence Larson.
