Robert Charles Wagner, 69, Axford Prairie resident and former diesel mechanic for Kenworth in Aberdeen, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash.
Robert was born on July 3, 1949, in Aberdeen, Wash. to Gilbert Anthony and Edith P. (Johnson) Wagner. He graduated from Weatherwax High School.
On March 20, 1976, Robert married Roberta Ellen Wiley in Aberdeen. She lives at the family home in Axford Prairie, Wash.
Robert was a self-taught master mechanic and worked for Kenworth of Aberdeen as a Diesel Mechanic for 20 years. He retired in December 2013. Before that he worked at Anderson Middleton also as a Diesel Mechanic from 1977 to 1982. He had also worked for JHD Diesel.
He was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, watching movies, riding motorcycles and looking forward to the grandkids coming to visit.
Robert is survived by his wife of 42 years, Roberta Wagner of Axford Prairie; two sons: Robert C. (Andrea Jean Dodge) Wagner Jr. of Kelso and Kevin A. (Jenny Cline) Wagner of Auburn, Wash.; three grandchildren: Bennett, Brooklynn and Samantha Wagner. He was preceded in death by his two brothers: Ronald A. and Richard B. Wagner.
There will be an open house on Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. in Robert’s home, 19 Wiley Rd, Axford Prairie, WA.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Wash.
