Robert Neil Phillips, 76, retired Aberdeen Assistant Fire Chief and Cosmopolis resident, died Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Auburn Medical Center in Auburn, Washington.
Robert was born on May 17, 1946, in Raymond, Washington to Frank and Melba (Schow) Phillips. He moved to Aberdeen during grade school and graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1964, and went to work for Grays Harbor Paper in Hoquiam. In 1973, he went to work for the Aberdeen Fire Department and served the city for the next 27 years, retiring in 2000.
On Aug. 16, 1982, Robert married Barbara S. Missel in Reno, Nevada. She resides at the family home.
Robert loved to hunt, fish and going camping. His passion was his grandkids and going to all their various activities.
Robert is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Phillips of Cosmopolis; sons Brian Phillips of Montesano and Todd (Lori) Phillips of Lacey; a stepson, Chris (Anne) Eisele of Cosmopolis; a brother Mike (Deonna) Phillips of Elma; a sister Karen (Dave) Tuttle of Elma; and five grandkids: Paige Phillips, Jack Phillips, Annika Eisele, Hunter Eisele and Dane Moholt-Phillips.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
