Mr. Roger Dean Magee of Elma passed away early Friday morning, March 28, 2025, at the age of ninety-one. Born on January 18,1934 in Cullom, Illinois, Roger was a much-loved partner, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He was also a United States Army veteran, who proudly served his country. He enjoyed fishing, cooking for those he loved, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Roger is survived and will be sorely missed by his partner of seventeen years, Sandra Harris and by his beloved children, four with first wife Dorothy Cook (deceased): Michael Magee, Jerry Magee (wife Linda), Tamera (Magee) Shirley, Brett Magee (wife Sharon – deceased), fifth child Darren Magee, with second wife Shirley Phillips (deceased), Sharon (Phillips) McDonald, Ivan Phillips, Dawn Phillips; with his partner Sandra Harris, his family expanded a third time: Lana (Harris) Cosgrove (husband James – deceased), Renae (Harris) Wolfe (husband Rod), Darrel Harris (wife Theresa) and Jayce Robinson (wife Jocelyn); 17 grandchildren: Jenny Magee, Sam Magee, Kaleb Magee, Marcus Magee, Solomon Magee, J. Armaghn Shirley, Christina Shirley, Chad Magee, Arenn McDonald, Darrin Phillips, Korey Cosgrove, Kalon Cosgrove, Brandon Wolfe, Brittany Yeager, Cassie Hansen, David Harris, Derek Harris, Rebecca Taylor, Cameron Harris, Chase Robinson, and Ambria Robinson; Eleven great grandchildren: Mercury, Jack, Luke, Owen, Finn, Zara, Trey, Braylee, Easton, Aubrey, and Trip.

Roger chose to forego a memorial service, and the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Hospital in his memory.

Rest now, Roger, knowing your work here is done. You will forever be in our hearts.
