Ronald “Speed Buggy” Hal Warwick of Aberdeen passed away at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle on Sept. 19, 2024. He was 79 years old.
Ronald was born in Aberdeen on June 5, 1945, to parents Hal Amos Warwick and Rosella Violet (Lee) Warwick. He was a service member with the United States Coast Guard from July 1, 1962 through July 29, 1966. He worked as a marine engineer and a log truck driver, which he particularly enjoyed doing, for the Alaska Marine Highway in Ketchikan, Alaska. On June 5, 1971, he married the love of his life, Laura Jane (Shay) Warwick.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Laura Jane Warwick of Aberdeen; sons, Forrest R. Chesterman of Oak Harbor and Hal R. Warwick of Rocklin, California; daughters, Roseanne Wickam of Ketchikan, Alaska, and Vernica Warwick; as well as six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Rosella Warwick, and sister, Sharon Rose Warwick Painter.
